![]() ![]() One is willing to kill the other, and other refuses to fight back in the name of their friendship. I could just feel my heart being shattered and torn apart as I watched these two guys, who were the best of friends since the beginning of the show, fight each other to the death. Okay, in all honesty, this episode was one of the better ones we’ve seen thus far in this show (at least in my opinion.) During this duel, I think I felt what Yusaku was feeling. This means Decode’s ATK goes back down to 1300, and Yusaku loses another 600 LP putting him at 1800 LP left! Thanks to this effect, Kusanagi brings back his Virus Swordsman! And since it was Special Summoned, and co-linked upon summon, its effect activates again and Kusanagi Special Summons back a Zero Day to Yusaku’s field in a zone Decode Talker is pointing to. Kusanagi proceeds to his End Phase, and during that, the other effect of Virus Swordsman activates!ĭuring the End Phase, if Virus Swordsman is in your GY because it was destroyed by an opponent’s card effect, you can Special Summon this monster from your GY, but it’s banished if it leaves the field. Yusaku tributes the Zero Day monster on his field to negate and destroy Virus Swordsman! With Zero Day gone, Decode’s ATK returns to normal. ![]() If a monster you control gets targeted by an effect while Decode is on your field, you can tribute 1 monster that it’s linked to (no, you cannot tribute your opponent’s monster that’s linked to Decode to activate this effect.) By doing so, you can negate the effect of that card and destroy it! Since there are two Codebreaker monsters on the field, Decode Talker would lose 1000 ATK meaning Yusaku would lose 1000 LP! However, Yusaku chains to this effect with Decode Talker’s effect! However, at the end of that battle, Kusanagi activates Virus Swordsman’s other effect!Īt the end of the Damage step, if this monster battled an opponent’s monster, you can target 1 monster your opponent control, and it loses 500 ATK for each Codebreaker monster on the field, and if it does, you can deal damage to your opponent equal to the amount the targeted monster lost! Kusanagi enters into his Battle Phase and attacks Decode Talker with Virus Swordsman! Virus Swordsman wins the battle and deals 1000 damage to Yusaku, but due to the effect of Codebreak Backfire, Decode isn’t destroyed. Because of this effect, Decode’s effect gets reversed and it now loses 500 ATK for each monster that it’s linked to! Since Decode is currently linked to Virus Swordsman and Zero Day, its ATK decreases to 1300! ![]() Meaning, increase becomes decrease and vice versa. On top of that, due to the effect of Zero Day, if it’s linked to a Link Monster that has an effect that increases or decreases a monster’s ATK or DEF, the effect becomes reversed. And due to the effect of his Continuous Trap, since a Codebreaker was Special Summoned to Yusaku’s field, it deals 600 damage to him! ![]() If this monster is Special Summoned, and is co-linked upon summon, you can activate its effect, where by targeting 1 Link Monster on the field, you can Special Summon one Level 4 or lower Codebreaker monster from your hand or GY, in Defense Position, into any zone the targeted Link Monster is pointing to.ĭue to this effect, Kusanagi targets Decode Talker and then Special Summons a Codebreaker Zero Day from his GY onto Yusaku’s field into a zone that Decode is pointing to. The reason Kusanagi did this was so he could activate Swordsman effect. Kusanagi summons this monster into the zone that Decode Talker pointed to, which increases Decode’s ATK by 500. ![]()
